My New Flash Favorite

I still can't believe someone was able to make a Devil May Cry flash! The melee combat is quick and decisive but most of all, simple! The use of guns do provide major help in the thick of battle. The difficulty hits you hard and fast as the smallest slip-ups could mean certain death. Each boss may seem to have the same strategy for victory but you'll soon see you need to mix it up a bit or get your hide handed over to you. Some of their attacks a bit unfair as they can do a lot of damage with a single strike and some attacks are blatently impossible to manuever around, but that doesn't mean you can't win. I'm a bit peeved at the grenade launcher because the blast radius is just a bit too much even if both you and your target are at farthest distance possible. Those were my only complaints. The storline is not all too original with some elements derived from Devil May Cry but still original all the same. In the end this is an excellent game.

Hooray Hooray

Who loves Metal Slug?.......meh. But this is one hell of a game. The game is almost like Metal Slug with its own twists of uniqueness. You only have two buttons for shoot and jump and I've never been more satisfied with a flash game's controls. No having to scroll through weapons thar would most likely be near the brink of uselessness. So simple controls that still give you a variety of ways to slaughter your enemies. A one hit kill system is not unwelcomed for this pushes your reflexes and skill. The game itself is not insanely violent and is quirky with humor. Not to mention the fact that enemies always seem to be one step ahead of you (ALWAYS). The game is quite short but I won't penalize it for that since I'll most likely never see the ending to this game. The game even has a real version that can be purchased over Xbox Live Arcade. But the flash is still satisfying and fun. A true Newgrounds gem that helped make it what is today.

A Truly Interactive Experience

Interactive Buddy is one of the Internet's most recognizeable and remembered games. Basically you have a bubble-character or most notably known as the Buddy. It is here you have to "interact" with the Buddy to obtain money. As you gain money you can buy actions, environmental changes, tortuous weapons, character skins (such as Napolean Dynamite or the Strawberry Clock), and etc. You are most likely to relentlessly torure the Buddy but trying to perform actions too frequently will cause the game to lag horrendously. This will however be an account of your own faults so try to pace yourself and enjoy yourself one he'll of a game.

Well Well!!

This is mostlikely one NewGround's cult classics. The gameplay is challenging. However, not so much for me. I actually beat the game in one try. That however doesn't penalize the score. It gets an nine due to time lapse. The game is very challenging especially the last boss Sunchips. The trick to beating him is to not stand directly in front of him. Zigzag on his position and dash in using a strong attack. Also try luring him near the propane tanks.

Very Good!!

This game is very enjoyable and addicting. I like the nostalgic feel of the 50's gangsters mixed with a little Japanese styled characters, dialogue, and animation. The feel is a lot like Alien Hominid with the one hit kill and life system and is very reminiscent of Metal Slug. The game is very frustrating for beginners but you'll get used to the difficulty quickly after five or so tries. A great game all in all.

I am the founder of the VGEC (Videogame Enthusiasts' Committee). I'm a fan of the videogame companies Namco and Capcom. Other than that, I'm just an average Newgrounder. P.S. I know it's Namco Bandai but correct me and I'll split your head like a melon
